Message from Taylor....
There I was, perfectly situated with my two Bengals, Bob and Fannie...when I was asked to babysit a couple of puppies for a weekend. How could I possibly realize that two impish six-week old Shih Tzu would change my life forever??
Of course, by the third day, I just had to have my very own Shih Tzu. The search was on. I discovered my little girl, Twinkle Tee Tullee, in Dallas, TX. Her arrival had an emotional impact on the entire family. She was immediately claimed by Bob as HIS puppy...and that attachment has never weakened.
Tullee was too gorgeous not to breed. The search for the perfect mate began long before Tullee was thinking about boys. I chose Bugatti from Classey Shih Tzu for his sweet temperament, his nonfacing, thick chocolate coat and his impressive lineage.
During the search for Tullee's mate, I fell in love with a little doll with a darling face at Barb's Shih Tzu in Holly, MI. Smokin' Blackberry Georgie was black when I bought her, but was supposed to turn blue. Yeah, right! Lesson number one...Shih Tzu never do what you expect them too. Watch for Georgie's first puppies at the end of 2009.
Tullee and Bugatti's babies arrived March 28, 2008...SIX perfect little GIRLS!
I now live in a two bedroom apartment, dividing my time between writing romance, tending to TEN animals and looking for property in TX...with a YARD! What do I dream of every night? A DOGGIE DOOR!
The moral of this story is never babysit Shih Tzu unless you intent to end up owned by one...or two...or more! They will capture your heart and never let go. But they also return your love a million-fold.,,every second of every day!
